NDT Course from Ambit Automation gives detailed practical sessions in all 6 following testing.
Nondestructive testing is a part of mechanical testing. Another part of mechanical testing is destructive testing. In destructive testing, the test piece destroyed and damaged. That is how we know the quality of the product.
After the testing, the test piece cannot be used further but in nondestructive testing Without damaging or disturbing the physical property of the test piece we could identify the defects and find the quality of the product. After the testing, the product can be used further. There are 13 NDT methods in which we are training major 6 methods.
Liquid penetrant testing (LPT)
Magnetic particle testing (MPT)
Ultrasonic testing (UT)
Radiographic testing (RT)
Radiographic film interpretation (RTFI).
Both theoretical and practical classes are conducting here. Given personal training and certified according to written practice SNT-TC-1A.
1.Visual testing (VT)
Visual testing in our NDT Course contains the following important element. The test piece inspected with our eyes and using optical devices. Devices include magnifying glass and lighting equipment. This helps in detecting welding defects, cracks, and fractures, corrosion, etc.
Welding gauges are used to find
Excess weld metal,
Weld mapping and weld visual report are training here. The visual inspection of welds is doing as per ASME SEC V, AWS D1.1, ASME SEC IX.
2. Liquid penetrant testing
LPT in our NDT Course contains the following important details. Liquid penetrant testing is the enhanced method of visual testing. liquid penetrant testing allows to detect defects not visible by a visual test.
In LPT only surface discontinuities are identifying. liquid penetrant testing is working on capillary action. Here the penetrant penetrates into the defects and indicates the defect. LPT is applicable to both metals and nonmetals.
It is very good in detecting
Lack of fusion etc
Visible and fluorescent techniques trained here.
3. Magnetic particle testing
Magnetic particle testing in our NDT Course contains the following important portions. Both surface and subsurface defects can be detected by magnetic particle testing. Ferromagnetic materials such as
Iron, nickel, cobalt, and their alloys are inspecting in MPT.
Defects that are open to the surface or buried flaws can detect by MPT. In this method, the magnetic field is Appling on the material. When a magnetic particle is applying on the surface indicates the defect. Surface preparation is not critical. Both visible and fluorescent techniques are training here. The magnetic particle testing is working on the principle of magnetic flux leakage.
4. Ultrasonic testing
The high-frequency ultrasonic sound wave is passing into the material. The reflected sound wave is indicating the defects. All volumetric defects are identified. Defects size, location, and depth can be identified but the type of defect cannot be detected. By doing thickness gauging we can do corrosion mapping.
Raw material inspection
Calibration of shear probes
Weld inspections trained here.
Instantaneous results obtained and weld repair is performed.
5. Radiographic testing
Radiographic testing in our NDT Course contains the following important elements. Volumetric defects can be detected by passing electromagnetic radiation (XRAY & gamma-ray). Thus produce a radiograph that shows the defect inside the material. It is an expensive method. This is reliable to detect defects like
Lack of penetration
Xray produced electrically and the gamma rays produced from an isotope. In RT permanent record is produced.
6. Radiographic film interpretation
RTFI course designed for level2 RT professionals to identify defects by radiograph. Interpretation of radiograph is in accordance with the codes and std ASME Sec VIII, API 1104, AWS D 1.1, ASME B 31.3.
What is LEVEL 2 Certification in NDT Course?
After completing your NDT Course you have to write the Level 2 examination. This examination includes theoretical and Practical sessions. Once you complete your examination you will become an NDT Level 2 qualified person. You will get 6 Certificates signed by an Authorized NDT Level 3 officer.
What are the benefits of NDT Level 2 Certificates?
NDT Level 2 certificate is the stepping stone for your career in NDT Field. For any advanced study or job you are planning in the NDT field NDT level 2 certification is necessary.
